A Pardon

TrollopeThe Queen could grant a pardon to people who had taken part in the rebellion. A pardon meant that Elizabeth had forgiven that person for their role in the rebellion.

This is a pardon for John Trollope from Thornley, who fought with the rebels. Like other official records from Tudor times, the pardon is written in Latin.
