Teachers: Your class can find about the unluckiest woman in Seaham in this interactive display and workshop

Durham at War archivists Jo Vietzke and Victoria Oxberry have just returned from the Voices of the Home Fronts Conference, where they gave an audience participatory talk on the Seaham Submarine workshop and pop-up display.

The conference was held at the National Archives in London and attended by many archivists, academics, and historians, not just from the UK but around the world.  One former history teacher said she 'would have given my eye-teeth for something like this when I was a teacher'.  Teachers in County Durham don't have to miss out.  Not only can the pop-up display be loaned out, there is a keystage 3 school workshop available that can be delivered either in the school or at the Record Office.  The session can also be adapted for different age groups.
