Tracing First World War Ancestors

Book now for the latest in our Branching Out sessions on 27th and 30th March

How can you trace a First World War soldier? What about civilian volunteers, nurses and conscientious objectors?

Find out what sources exist and look together at a few examples to give you an idea how to get started.

This is the latest in our regular Branching Out sessions, which consist of a talk approximately an hour long, followed by roughly an hour of browsing time, during which you can:

  • use the microfilm and computers
  • browse the library
  • explore the Record Office in a structured and supportive environment.

The session runs twice, once in the morning and once in the evening. The sessions are identical.

6pm-8pm on Monday 27 March 2017
10am-12noon on Thursday 30 March 2017

The charge for each session is £10 and places must be booked in advance. To book, please contact us on 03000 267626. You can pay in person, by cheque or by credit or debit card over the phone.
