More sessions on 25 & 28 June to celebrate the Festival of Learning 2018

Have you thought about doing a family history course, but would like to have a try first?

Our family history taster sessions will give you a flavour of what to expect from the full course as well as an idea of what tracing your ancestors might involve.

You will have chance to explore our microfilm sources, including parish registers recording baptisms, marriages and burials in Church of England churches as early as the 1530s.

The sessions are a friendly introduction and assume no prior knowledge. They run on the following dates:

Monday 25 June, 6pm-7.30pm

Thursday 28 June, 10am-11.30am

Tuesday 19 June, 6pm-7.30pm - FULLY BOOKED

Thursday 21 June, 10am-11.30am - FULLY BOOKED

All sessions take place in Durham County Record Office at County Hall, Durham DH1 5UL.

There is no charge, but please reserve a place in advance by booking online or calling 03000 267626.

These taster sessions are run as part of the Festival of Learning 2018.
